Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home, 1910 Elkton Pike, Pulaski, Tn.

Charles Peter Cowen of the Stella Community passed away Wednesday morning, September 25, 2013, at
Hillside Hospital in Pulaski. He was born on October 5, 1921 in Huntsville, Alabama and was 91 years old.
He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy and a retired education instructor.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 27th from 4:00 until 8:00pm at
Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00am in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.

Burial follows in Giles Memory Gardens with full military honors.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Bethel Church of Christ, 700 Turner Road, Prospect, Tn. 38477

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Annie Eloise Johns Cowen.
His parents Charlie H. and Florence C. Schrimscher Cowen. His sisters Annie R. Cowen, Florence Cleveland, Lorene C. Bolden along with one brother Raymond H. Cowen.

He is survived by his, daughter, Suzanne Long of Pulaski, son, Daniel M. Cowen of Minor Hill,
son, David Cowen (Carla) of Lake City, Florida, granddaughters, Ashley Fountain (Mitchell) of GA. and
Tara Armstrong of Nevada and Lydia Strickland of Minor Hill, grandson, Ryan Brown (Heather) of GA.
grandson, Charles P. Cowen II of Minor Hill, grandson, Charles D. Cowen of FL.,
great-grandchildren, Bailee Fountain, Robert E. Brown, Ella Cowen, Kaden Lee Strickland, & Brianna Strickland,
sister-in-law, Louise Brown (Randall) of Mineral Bluff, Ga., brother-in-law, Fred E. Johns (Jacquelyn) of FL.
