Mr. R. W. Thurman of Pulaski passed away Saturday evening, September 7, 2013, at NHC Healthcare in Pulaski. He was born on January 22, 1926 in Lynnville, TN. and was 87 years old. He achieved the rank of sergeant during WWII, a member of the American Legion Post #60, and a member of the VFW.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 on Monday, September 9th at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 10th in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Mike Merritt officiating.
Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery, Lynnville, TN. with full military honors.

He was preceded in death by, his wife Odeline Ward Thurman, parents, William Rufus and Bertha Sands Thurman, sisters, Mary Anna Greathouse and Sara Lou Burton, brothers, Joe W., Embry S., and William Edgar Thurman.
He is survived by his,
Son, Ronald (Charlene) Thurman of Lewisburg
Son, Richard (Pam) Thurman of Pulaski
Son, David (Stephanie) Steven Thurman of Pulaski
Grandchildren, Karla (Michael) Gardner, Josh Thurman, Julie Thurman, Daniel Thurman, and Embry Thurman.
7 Great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild
Sisters, Nina Rogers and Nancy Fauver
Several nephews, nieces, and cousins also survive.
